Richard AndrewRichard Andrew has held senior positions at such companies as Amobee, Microsoft, and Yahoo!. Prior to his appointment as EternityX Managing Director of Southeast Asia and Australia, Andrew oversaw operations across Asia as Managing Director of Blis. He is now responsible for driving Southeast Asia and Australia’s strategy and business expansion, helping marketers to target the complex, lucrative China digital market, as China begins its post-COVID-19 recovery.

armayArmay Guo has been named Regional Business Development Head SEA, working alongside Richard. Originating from China, Armay started her media and advertising career in Shanghai. In 2007, she moved to Singapore, joining Yahoo! South East Asia as Head of Strategy. She further developed her skills with Socialbakers as Regional Director of Partnership JAPAC, helping agencies and brands to better manage the social media channels through data driven strategies. In 2016, Armay joined Brightcove as Regional Sales.

GraceSingapore-based smart mobility firm SWAT Mobility (SWAT) announced the appointment of Grace Ho as its President to support its growth in Southeast Asia and Japan.

Prior to Grace’s role at SWAT, she was the APAC Chief of Staff and ASEAN Area Vice President at US software firm Commvault. She has amassed more than 20 years of international experience spanning across business development, sales and marketing at technology heavyweights such as Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft and Motorola Solutions.

Previously known as “Ministry of Movement”, the firm has changed its name to SWAT Mobility. The smart mobility solution firm provides demand-responsive and ride-sharing technology in high capacity vehicles.

Founded in 2015, SWAT has completed over a million dynamically routed rides worldwide for commuters. Its integrated products optimize public and corporate transportation for industrial parks, overnight shift workers, non-emergency medical transport and more. Since inception, the firm has expanded its operations to Australia, Indonesia and Vietnam – with clients such as Singapore’s Sembcorp Marine and MetroConnect and ComfortDelgro in Australia.

In light of the ongoing Covid-19 situation, the firm will also offer its smart transport solutions to support companies in Singapore enacting their Business Continuity Plans. Its solutions allows contact tracing as it tracks riders who took the service and can also handle dynamic changes due to split teams.


Ogilvy Taiwan has announced two senior appointments with Amy Shih’s return as Chief Strategy Officer, and Giant Kung’s promotion to Chief Creative Officer.

Going forward, the two leaders will assist Daniel Lee, Chief Executive of Ogilvy Taiwan to continue the company’s digital transformation, and evolve modern marketing capabilities to make client brands matter.

Amy Shih has over 20 years of experience in brand & marketing communications. She was Senior VP at Cathay Financial Holdings for two years, responsible for digital transformation and new business strategies. Before joining Cathay Financial Holdings, she spent 18 years of her career at Ogilvy Taiwan. From researcher to planning partner, she continues to dig deep into consumer insights, market analysis and strategic development capabilities, while adding data analysis to the scene to open new thinking for strategic planning. Her clients include Pxmart, Cathay Financial Holdings, IKEA and Volkswagen.

From a copywriter to becoming the Chief Creative Officer, Giant Kung joined Ogilvy Taiwan in 2001 with around 20 years of experience within the agency. He was awarded Taiwan’s first Golden Pencil from One Show in 2016, and received numerous award recognitions from New York Festival, London International, Clio, One Show and Cannes Lions. His clients include Motorola, Uni President, Seven-Eleven, Watson, SONY, eBay, Brands, GSK, FarEastone, Tencent, Cathay Financial Holdings, Benz, Nike, Peacock Biscuit, Yahoo!, Vedan’s Morewater, and Pxmart.

Eileen has started her career with SAP since 2011 and was responsible for the success of clients in the Financial Services, Transportation and Utilities industries.

effieEffie Asia Pacific announced the successful completion of its final round of judging that saw the emergence of 122 finalists who will vie for highly coveted top honors at the 2020 APAC Effie Awards.

The 122 finalists were shortlisted after four days of intensive assessment and evaluation by some 90 distinguished jury members. This final round of judging was moved to a fully virtual platform in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the jurors participating via video conferencing.

The judging was led by the Awards Chairman, David Porter of Unilever, and eight distinguished Heads of Jury, namely, Akira Mitsumasu of Japan Airlines, Anupriya Acharya of Publicis Groupe South Asia, Daniel Barnes of BC&F Dentsu, David Guerrero of BBDO Guerrero, Kainaz Gazder of Procter & Gamble, Melissa Tang of Mindshare Singapore, Rupen Desai of Dole Packaged Foods and Susie Wong of Fuji Xerox Singapore.

There was wide representation across Asia Pacific, with finalists hailing from 12 territories. India is leading the shortlist with 23 finalists, followed closely by Australia and New Zealand tied at 22 finalists. On the agency network front, the shortlist is led by Ogilvy, with 27 finalists, followed by BBDO, with 12 finalists and McCann Worldgroup, with 10 finalists.

The APAC Effie Awards is the industry’s gold standard for assessing marketing effectiveness for the region. Through spotlighting and recognizing ideas that work and contribute to a brand’s success, the Awards continues to inspire and champion excellence in marketing communications.

Simon TateSimon Tate has been appointed President, Asia Pacific (APAC) at Adobe.

In his role, Tate will lead Adobe’s business across the region, reporting to Paul Robson, President, International, Adobe. Tate joins Adobe from Salesforce where he spent six years as APAC Senior Vice President, responsible for all market segments, geographies and products during his tenure. Most recently, Tate was the COO for Greater China. He has 25 years working in technology, representing some of the industry’s biggest brands including SAP, Dell / EMC and Hummingbird. Tate’s experience spans across high growth companies and global brands, with the dynamic APAC region at the centre of his expertise. Tate will join Adobe in May.

He previously held executive-level APAC sales positions at Snow Software and Kinetica in Singapore; he also was senior sales director for enterprise data cloud leader Cloudera, where he was the company’s global sales leader in 2017 and grew that firm’s Asia revenues from zero to $25 million.

Herfini HaryonoHerfini Haryono has served as a CIO, CTO and board member of multiple technology companies throughout Indonesia. She most recently was managing director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia; previously she served as chief business officer and CIO of Indosat Ooredoo, a B2B enterprise and wholesale telecom carrier.
