InfoQuest joins Dataxet's network of market-leading media intelligence companies which include Sonar Platform in Indonesia, NAMA in Malaysia and Truescope in Singapore.

Dataxet was launched in 2020 with the vision to create the first Asia-based CommsTech group. In their first 18 months of operation, they have become a category leader and fastest growing media intelligence network in the region, providing best-in-class services for over 300 blue-chip enterprise and public sector clients.

AppointmentsGoogleCloudGoogle Cloud announced the appointment of Sherie Ng as Country Director of Google Cloud’s business in Singapore and Malaysia.

She will be responsible for leading revenue and go-to-market strategy and operations for Google Cloud Platform and Google Workspace, as well as work with teams across Google to help customers from all industries reimagine their business through data-powered innovation.

Sherie joined Google Cloud from Microsoft, where she was General Manager, Public Sector, Asia Pacific. During her time with the company, she spearheaded business engagements and partnerships with public sector institutions – government agencies, state-owned enterprises, healthcare, and education institutions. In addition, Sherie championed social impact programs around bridging the digital skills gap, enhancing countrywide capabilities in digital transformation and AI, and advancing sustainability goals.

In her 25-year-long career in technology leadership, Sherie has also served as Managing Director, Southeast Asia, NICE Systems and held management roles with Invensys Operations Management, Singtel, Comverse Technologies, CSG Systems and Lucent Technologies.

Sherie holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and she also successfully completed the MIT Sloan Executive Education program in Digital Business Strategy and the INSEAD Global CEO program in International Business.

She reports to Ruma Balasubramanian, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Google Cloud, who continues to lead Google Cloud's all-female leadership team for the Southeast Asia region.


AnnouncementsDigitalEdgeDigital Edge (Singapore) Holdings Pte. Ltd. announced a joint venture (JV) in the Philippines with the Threadborne Group, a local family office focused on technology and real estate.

The JV will construct and operate a 10MW data centre in Manila, with a capital commitment in excess of USD100 million collectively from both parties. The new data centre will be based on Digital Edge's next generation architecture and operated under the Digital Edge brand name.

Already under construction, the Manila data centre is slated to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2022. It will be the largest operational carrier neutral data centre in the Philippines. The facility also aims to be the most advanced facility in the market, in terms of energy and water efficiency, with an expected annualized PUE of 1.193 at optimal operating temperature and WUE of 1.355.  The facility will allow Digital Edge to offer flexible, high-quality colocation and interconnection services to both local and international customers in the Greater Manila region. The low PUE and WUE make the facility uniquely suitable in the market for cloud and other high power density colocation applications.


AppointmentsAntworksAntWorks, a global leader in Intelligent Document Processing, has appointed R. Guha as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The move comes as AntWorks gears up to meet accelerating demand for its IDP software and Intelligent Automation platform, driven by an industry-wide focus on digital transformation across insurance, finance, healthcare, and other sectors.

Guha has over twenty years of global business-leadership experience, with roles at enterprises like Edgeverve, Wipro and Cognizant. He has also led industry-wide initiatives at the World Economic Forum around cyber risk quantification and cyber resilience to drive business engagement into a deeply technical domain. His expertise across cloud, automation, and artificial intelligence domains along with a focus on innovation and systems thinking, will be critical in supporting AntWorks' rapid growth.

Guha's appointment as AntWorks' COO is part of an aggressive growth strategy centred around enhanced configurability, deeper integration into enterprise platforms and advanced industry-specific features.
