According to new data from Accenture Strategy, working professionals worldwide are more willing to work with intelligent machines than public opinion suggests.
In fact, as eMarketer.com highlighted in its recent report, more than two-thirds of respondents stressed the importance of learning new skills to work with emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), within the next three to five years. And almost as many said they believe these types of technologies will create more opportunities for their company. What's more, 45% felt encouraged about AI, believing it will help them do their job more efficiently.
But as Jennifer King, from eMarketer highlights as well in her report, not everyone feels the same way, mentioning an October 2017 Gallup and Northeastern University survey that for instance came up with a completely different result. So it seems that we can expect the talk and discussions about AI displacing human jobs to continue for quite some time.
