Dear Reader,
The world is spinning fast, and the marketing world even
faster, making it all the more important to know what drives
our industry, don’t you think?
Welcoming a new year, means for Asian eMarketing
having a focus on Trends & Predictions and getting
prepared for what to expect. Well, according to surveys,
the marketing year 2022 will be determined primarily by
digitization and post-Corona (New Normal) as well as
sustainability and climate change.
Although digitization was given a further boost by the
corona pandemic, including working from home and the
shift to e-commerce, sustainability and climate change is
occupying the top spot in 2022.
Other topics that are gaining in importance are improving
the customer experience, increasing the emotional bond Subscription
between target groups and the brand, and helping to (complimentary)
shape new business models.
But most importantly, technology will continue to cause
rapid and profound changes in our daily lives – with
consequences. By now, four out of five people worldwide
believe that the success of a company depends on
building digital trust with its customers in the future, and
around half of them believe that trust plays a greater role
in the digital world than in the analogue world in the future.
This says a lot about where marketing is headed in the
coming years, and I hope this month's articles with their
predictions and in-depth insights will help you find the right
path and take necessary precautions to stay successful in
the future.
