John Merrifield is the Chief Creative Officer, Google Asia-Pacific. He’s based in Sin-
gapore and leads a team hubbed in Sydney, Singapore and Tokyo. Prior to joining
Google, he was TBWA Asia-Pacific’s Creative at Large, where he oversaw the creative
output of their offices in the region and had previously been their Chief Creative Officer in
Japan. He has also worked at Saatchi & Saatchi as ECD in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Jakar-
ta and spent his early career at Batey Ads in Singapore. He has received multiple gold
lions at Cannes, multiple gold pencils at the One Show, grand prix and multiple golds at
Clios and multiple golds at AdFest, Spikes and AWARD. He was also named Asia’s Crea-
tive of the Year in 2004 and 2008.

Sam Rogoway is the CEO of Victorious, a mobile platform that powers the next genera-
tion of content networks. Through their own interactive app, creators can distribute their
content directly to fans, grow their communities, and unlock new revenue streams. Victori-
ous works with creators across the globe with offices in Santa Monica, London, and Singa-
pore. Sam previously co-created and launched Braindex, the world’s first show distributed
initially as an interactive iPad app. Braindex hit #1 in the app store and was nominated for
an Interactive Emmy Award. Sam also founded and served as CEO of the popular travel
social network TripUp, which was acquired by Sidestep/Kayak.
Patrick Walker is the CEO of Rightster. He has over 20 years’ experience in the media
industry, beginning his career as a TV producer for Japan’s public broadcaster, NHK, and
later working as a Senior Broadcast Journalist for BBC News across Asia. Following that,
Patrick served as RealNetworks’ General Manager for International Video Services. In
2006 Patrick was Google’s first hire outside the US to work on its video strategy, initially
with Google Video and then as YouTube’s European boss. In 2013 Patrick joined Base79
as its Chief Content Officer. Following Rightster’s acquisition of Base79 in 2014, Patrick
joined Rightster’s Executive Team as Chief Commercial Officer. In January 2015 Patrick
was announced as Rightster’s CEO.
